Sports Marketing Surveys were looking to merge their UK and USA websites, to create one global site which enhanced their brand, was more user friendly, and enabled them to communicate information more clearly to their market.
I started with the logo, developing a more digital friendly option – but it was important to the client that I still kept the logo and style recognisable as it is a globally established company. The company name became title case, with a slightly condensed font which allowed a better ratio to the line device – all helping with legibility. A sense of motion was created by skewing the line device. The colours were then made cleaner and slightly bolder, along with the replacement of the dark grey with a navy blue to complete the palette. Various orientations of the logo were created for use across platforms both in digital and print.
This exploration led the way to create new design devices and an updated brand style for the new site.
Starting from the very beginning with the sitemap, everything on the site was structured in a much more intuitive way so visitors can find the information they are looking for easily, making contact from potential new customers as streamlined as possible.
